Health medicated diet

1. Lily porridge
Source: "Compendium of Materia Medica";
Efficacy: nourish the heart and calm the nerves, moisten the lungs and relieve cough;
Materials needed: 30g (dry) lily powder or 50g fresh lily, appropriate amount of rock sugar, 100g japonica rice;
Method: Use the above three ingredients to cook porridge.

2. Ginseng porridge
Source: "Shi Jian Materia Medica";
Efficacy: old age and infirmity, weakness, loss of appetite, chronic diarrhea, insomnia, forgetfulness and other symptoms of insufficient Qi and blood;
Materials needed: 3g of powdered ginseng (or 15g of Codonopsis), appropriate amount of rock sugar, 100g of japonica rice;
Method: cook porridge and take

3. Lychee porridge
Source: "Quanzhou Materia Medica";
Efficacy: treatment of morning diarrhea in the elderly (five-gengxie);
Materials needed: 50g dried lychee meat, 10g each of Chinese yam and lotus seeds (pounded), 100g japonica rice;

Method: Cook porridge and take it every night.
