Production Process

In order to effectively extract resveratrol from Polygonum cuspidatum, ethanol reflux method and ultrasonic method were used for research. The preliminary purification by solvent (ethyl acetate) extraction and the screening of adsorption resin purification conditions were carried out. The effects of different single factors on the extraction of resveratrol from Polygonum cuspidatum were investigated. And the orthogonal method was used to optimize the extraction process to determine the best extraction process.

Result: The extraction rate of resveratrol was 1.30% under the optimized extraction conditions of ethanol reflux method. The extraction rate was 1.36% under the optimal extraction conditions of ultrasonic-assisted method. Resveratrol with a purity of 74.98% was obtained by the initial purification of solvent extraction by ultrasonic-assisted process. After separation and purification by macroporous resin, the purity was 89.07% and the yield was 95.09%. After extraction and adsorption by macroporous resin, the purity of pure bulk resveratrol was significantly improved.
