Panax ginseng C. A. Mey is a perennial herb with a cool, leaf-free stomata and palisade structure that does not retain moisture. The temperature is higher than 32 degrees and the leaves will burn and the canopy density is 0.7-0.8. Usually 3 years of flowering, 5-6 years of results, flowering period from May to June, fruiting period from June to September. It is grown in the northeastern China, North Korea, South Korea, Japan, and eastern Russia. Ginseng is also known as the yellow ginseng, the goblin, the god grass, the king of the grass, is one of the famous "three treasures of the Northeast."
The root contains 0.4% ginsenoside and a small amount of volatile oil. The main component of the oil is ginseng (panacen, C15H24) 0.072%. It has been reported that saponins are isolated from roots: ginsenosides A, B, C, D, E and F (panaxoside A, B, C, D, E, F) and the like. Ginsenoside A (C42H72O14) is ginsenoside Rg1 (ginsenoside Rg1). Ginsenoside B and C are hydrolyzed to produce panaxatriol saponin, and ginsenoside D, E and F are hydrolyzed to obtain 20-epiprotopanaxo-diol saponin. Further, β-elemene (C15H24) was separated from the low-boiling portion of the ether extract. The high boiling fraction partially separates panaxynol (C17H26O). In addition, it also contains monosaccharides: glucose, fructose, sucrose, three trisaccharides: glucose-fructose-fructose, trimeric glucose, glucose-glucose-fructose, ginseng acid (for palmitic acid, stearic acid and linoleic acid) Mixtures, multiple vitamins (B1, B2, niacin, nicotinamide, pantothenic acid), various amino acids, choline, enzymes (maltase, invertase, esterase), spermine (spermine) and cholamine ( Cholamine). The aerial part of ginseng contains flavonoids, such as pansionnoside, trifolin, behenyl alcohol, ginsenosides, beta-sitosterol and sugars.
