In the current market, many proanthocyanidins sold by grape seeds are mixed or directly pre-exposed with peanut extracts proanthocyanidins. How to identify grape seed extracts has always been a matter of great concern to many companies.
Firstly, the proanthocyanidins of grape seed source are mainly B-type proanthocyanidins, mainly proanthocyanidin B2, while the peanut dressing source is mainly type A (A-type) proanthocyanidins, mainly proanthocyanidin A2. Therefore, the content of proanthocyanidin A2 can be detected by liquid chromatography to determine whether it is a grape seed-derived proanthocyanidin.
Secondly, from the smell of the product, the grape seed smell is relatively light, and the peanut clothing or pine bark source smells heavier, but this method is subjective and difficult to judge.
